Product Overview
This external trigger base is designed for the original Makita WUT01 AWS Wireless Unit. It supplies power to the WUT01 module and simulates the start signal normally generated by a Makita tool, allowing the WUT01 to send an AWS wireless start signal to a paired Makita AWS dust extractor, collector, or WUT02 adapter.
In simple terms, it turns an original WUT01 module into an independent AWS wireless start remote.
Typical Use Cases
Use it with tools that do not have built-in AWS support, so a paired AWS dust extractor can be started manually from the work position. Use it when the extractor is placed away from the bench or work area, reducing the need to walk back and forth to start or stop dust collection. It is also suitable for woodworking benches, DIY workshops, sanding, cutting, carving, cleaning coordination, and dust collection workflows.
Main Functions
Supports the original Makita WUT01 module. The WUT01 / AWS Wireless Unit is inserted into the base, powered by the base, and used in tool-transmit mode.
Independent power switch. Turn the unit on for standby or pairing, and switch it off when not in use to reduce battery drain and make storage easier.
Independent trigger switch. Pressing the trigger simulates a Makita tool start state, causing the WUT01 to send the AWS start signal. Releasing or switching off the trigger stops the active start state, and the paired extractor or adapter stops according to its own delay logic.
Original AWS pairing logic is preserved. This product does not crack, modify, or rewrite the WUT01 module. Pairing, wireless communication, and start control remain handled by the original Makita module.
How to Use
1. Insert an original Makita WUT01 module into the base.
2. Turn on the power switch.
3. Pair the WUT01 with your AWS dust extractor or WUT02 adapter using the original Makita AWS pairing method.
4. Press the trigger switch when you need to start the extractor.
5. Release or turn off the trigger when you need to stop.
6. Turn off the power switch after use.
Notes
The Makita WUT01 module is not included. Please prepare an original WUT01 / AWS Wireless Unit separately. This product only triggers the WUT01 to send an AWS signal. It does not directly control extractor power, connect to mains wiring, or switch an AC load. Different Makita AWS devices may have different pairing behavior or stop-delay timing.
